I smiled now they were starting to talk more. "I missed her" i said in a joking tone. I saw how her cheeks turned red, perhaps he was just shy to say so, i thought nothing of it. "Any place to eat around here, im straving, you guys?" my stomac grumbled.

"Yeah, I think we can earn our meal by waiting on the newest arrived ladies. Maybe even the princess!" Kira said, and chuckled in her most boyish laugh. "I wonder if I'll have to finish my training and schoolwork tomorrow. It is Sunday, no classes, no training." Kira made a "YEAH!" motion with her hands and whooped. Her tanned white skin shone in the merry crackle of the fire, and they heard a knock. (I'm sort of playing another page so we won't be lonely) "Yes?" Kira called in her gruff boy voice. Ramon entered. He was a Bazhir from the south, and he was gruff and hardy. "Hey, Kyle. Who's your new friends?" Ramon asked when he stepped inside. "This is Ramon of the Bazhir, guys, and Ramon, this is Charley of Goldenriver, and Marc." Ramon nodded and offered his hand to both of the others one at a time.

"Follow Ramon. He's an older first-year page. I've been there but haven't memorized the spot yet." Kira smiled brightly and nodded to Ramon, he opened the door and led us towards the Dining Hall. (Con. Post in Dining Hall)

Back from dinner, Kira grabbed a cloth and wiped her face with it, grateful that there were two hot baths waiting. Quickly, before Charley came, she took off her clothes and sank into one of them, the sweat and dirt from her releasing their hold and dirtying the water. She let a soap bar slide into the water, making it a bubble-bath, and then she groped for it underwater and eventually found it, scrubbing herself until she was completely clean, then she just let herself soak in the nice hot, steamy, now-dirty bath for a while. "Ahhhh..." she sighed.

She got out, dried off, and changed into a regular page's outfit. Then she headed down to the Coast for a while. ************************ When she came back her face was full of awe and wonder. On her belt was attached a fine, rich scabbard. In it was a sword. When she reached her bed she sat down, drawing the sword, revelling in its beauty and sharpness. She lucked a hair from her head and set it on the blade, without even pressing down the hair was slicd into two. The silver blade gleamed and glimmered, then suddenly shone with such a brilliance that Kira was forced to scream and cover her eyes. In doing so the sword dropped on her lap and she fel into a dream. A dream that was a bit too real... Kira stood up slowly. She was in a forest. Suddenly she sat, exhaughsted. In front of her there was a fire, a fire she apparently had lit herself. A cloaked woman appeared. In a non-earthly voce she said, "Those who sit under that tree usually meet their doom." Kira was starled and looked at the woman. "I know who you are, Kira. You know who I am. Just believe." Kira stared at her and replied, "Who are you? How do you know me?" The woman chuckled from under her dark hood and answered, "I know you because you are one of my many daughters, Kira." Kira said, "But who are you?" The woman said nothing, but slowly reached up with hands inside huge dark sleeves and removed her hood. "Mother Goddess!" Kira gasped. The goddess nodded slowly, and removed a live coal from the flames. "Take this, and use it wisely." She handed the livve coal to Kira. As the page held it it became brighter and brighter until finally it became a yellow-orange color. It burned her hand and she screamed as sudenly piercing agony ripped through her. Kira woke screaming. In her right hand there was a yellow-orange coal on a golden chain. She slipped it around her neck and noticed suddenly bad burns covering her hand. Her sword lay dim on the floor.
When Kira picked the sword up it glowed briefly before returning to a normal sheen. She sheathed it and stared, in shock, out the window. A sparrowhawk alighted on her right shoulder and calle in her ear. Kira started and came back to reality. The sparrowhawk shook its head and flew away.
