A young Princess elf ran along the countryside, the trees snagged at her clothing, pulling her back.
She dove harder into the folige, trying to unsnag herself. Her green claok bellowed out behind her, her clan would be looking for her.
They would get their best tracker and she would be dragged back there kicking and screaming. Maybe the Great Mother could sway them.
The Great Mother Tree had ahold of every elf, her children as she referred them as. She was their source of strength, power, wisdm,.....and magic. Without her they would be lost.
Princess Arleina heard a howl not far off, besides that th eonly thing that was making noise was her breathing pounding feet upon the hard ground and her heart beating against her rib cage.
The red haired elf stopped suddenly in a clearing, her chest and heart needed a break. She ran for so long. She plopped herself down onto a bed of moss and her brained wandered.
She thought of her clan and being pushed to turn into a night creature. Her natural elf senses did wonders in the dark but she thrived for the light aswell, she was able to think clearly with out fustration leaking through her mind constantly. Her vision was sepurb in the light where the elfs had sensitive eyes and preferred the lighter shade of pale moon.
SHe was still breathing laborly as she looked up at the object hanging in the sky that has slowly become her enemy. She knew she was out of shape, a normal elf would have been able to run longer and faster then she was.
But Arleina didn't think of that she focused on getting her wind in and out of her body.

After Arleina ascertained her breath, she threw her vulnerable poson ivy filled hair over her shoulder, anybody who touched it would get a rash of poison on their skin.
But It didn't harm the Kordanian Princess.
Arleina stood up, groaning as she did so, if she stayed in one spot for too long her clan could find her and then she would be in trouble, let alone an animal would probably find her before her clan.
The very young elf walked out of hte clearing and parted the trees as she passed, going at a much slower pace through the dense tree limbs. Brushing her way through made her think of the Great Mother and instantly she felt a pang od sadness.
The Princess stopped and looked behind her, she was almost tempted to return, but she couldn't give up now, the Great Mother destined her to take this journey and she would take this journey for her Great Mother Tree.
Arleina sighed and looked forward again, starting back up again through the snagging twigs.

Gwen picked her way through the thick underbrush, making her way back from her strange encounter with the demon and vampires. Suddenly her green eyes darted up as the sound of breathing entered her ears. Instinctivly, she tightened the grip on her bow, and quieted her steps; she had had enough surprises for the day. Sneeking silently through the bushes, Gwen approached the thing. As she drew closer, her eyes narrowed. She could make out the figure of a lady, what she was doing, she did not know. Gwen peered at her intently, her emerald eyes dancing with curiousity.

Arleina moved through the thick forest, the branches constantly reaching out and grabbing any part of her body and clothing.
The Kordanian princess slowed slightly, something didn't feel right, she couldn't put her finger on it. This was one trait of an Elf she wished she could master.
She swallowed loudly and put her hand on her sword, if anything jumped out at her she would be ready. Her Emerald orange/brown eyes scanned the area around her, she kept her head forward and her body moving forward.
No need to make herself feel threatened if something really was out there. Or it could just plain be her own emotions setting off feelings that was making her feel uneasy.
Yes it was her emotions about leaving that was making her feel uneasy.

Gwen watched her intently as she unsheathed her sword. From the look of her ears, she judged that the lady could be no other than an elf. She rose from the bush, lowering her bow, although she kept a hand on the dagger that dangled at her hips, just in case. "I am Gwen," she greeted, her stare not wavering. "Who might you be?" ((weak, sorry, I have to go. )

The extremely young elf whipped arounf facing the other creature. Arleina had her sword pointing at her, but then she spoke. In a friendly matter, the wind whistled through the trees and blew the Elf's deep red hair around her face.
She annoyingly ripped back, how long hair could get annoying. She lowered her sword slightly as for the other hadn't attacked yet.
She now lowered it fully, but the poison in her hair drew out It's serem, just in cast the other being acctacked.
She listend to the person speak, for it had the voice of a person, but then again creatures hid behind different skins all the time. But Arleina took her chances.
She listened to her and noticed the other was female, it couldn't be an Elf for they would only send the elf men out to find their princess. So she was safe with ther there.
Gwen, that's what the other had siad was her name, and now she asked for hers in return.
Arleina bit her lower lip nervous at how she would react if she told her, anybody would want ot grab a perosn to hold htem for ransom but a princess would be even a greater prize. Well she wasn't considerig herself a princess anymore, she was just going to call herself Arleina.
Shje opened her mouth and spoke, "My name is Arleina, what are you doing here out in the dark woods?" She asked, why was she here?

Gwen looked her over, her eyes wide. "The Elf Princess Arleina..." she concluded. Suddenly she grinned. "Don't worry, I have a thousand peices of gold on my head, I won't notify whoever is searching for you." Gwen looked around the forest, and fingered the hilt of her dagger. "As for me, and where I'm going... that is not for you to know." Arleina did seem trustworthy, Gwen concluded, but she had learned long ago not to trust strangers...
Gwen did not take her eyes off the lady, for she knew how unpredictable people could be. She pulled her black cloak tighter around her as a frigid wind whistled by. Her green eyes flashed suddenly. "If you venture deeper into the forest, beware of the vampires." Gwen smirked. "I encountered one previously tonight."

Arleina cringed when Gwen siad her full royal name, she closed her eyes and put her fingers to her temple.
"I don't go by that name anymore, just Arleina. After what my clan did to me, I'm up holding that title anymore, I'm an outsider now. And intruder, and wanderer, a loner, whichever you want to call me. Just not Princess. And thankyou, I wish not ot see any of them anymore. And that's fine that you wish not to tell for I don't have anything ot tell for a bargian. I'm just going where my instincts tell me to strive for." Arleina looked at the other woman, could she trust her totally?
No matter, nothing mattered now. Arleina looked at Gwen as she spoke of vampires and her face darkened, "Thankyou for hte warning, I shall watch my step. I have never encountered a vampire, not even sure what htey look like, my clan made sure I didn't encounter anything in my lifetime of growing. I will heed your warning young Miss, and It is greatly appreciated."
Arleina turned to leave but thought better of it, "Did you say your head was worth gold?" Her eyes widened, was she a theif?

Gwen stared at the lady, and thingyed a slender eyebrow. An outcast? An intruder of her own clan? What had happened? She pondered these things, tapping a finger to her lips, but she thought better of it not to ask.
Glancing down the dark forest path, she added, "Your welcome for the warning, and remember, watch the trees, thats where they like to hide before they pounce down on their prey." A wicked smirk played across Gwen's features. She found the vampires ways rather amusing... however she was sure to take caution around them.
Gwen grinned crookedly as Arleina spoke of the gold. "If your wondering if I'm a thief, Miss, then yes you would be correct." Gwen narrowed her eyes at Arleina, and smiled slightly. She whispered, "I won't tell your secret if you don't tell mine." Gwen grinned.

Arleina watched the young maidan as she stared intently at her. She nodded her head when Gwen spoke. Weren't vampires of the bat line, surely they would stick to the trees. The Elf shivered, the idea was a tad nerving racking.
Gwen stopped for a moment and hten started up again. Her eyes rounded to the size of dinner plates, she was a theif! Arleina readied herself to step back away from the young woman, she couldn't aford her to steal anything from her now.
But she stopped in mid step, secrets? "What secrets? I'm not sure I understand you." Arleina had a feeling what she was refering too but could anybody trust a theif?

Tari captivated her breathing, shallowing it to an almost unaudible rasp. She leaned back 'gainst the decayed oak tree, her tresses tickling her rosed cheeks. She blended with the foliage, like an optical illusion, your vision would blend her with the surroundings, unless you targeted her from the shrubbery. She pulled herself up as the two backs were faced to her. Custard coloured eyes stared deep through the souls of the couple.
"What's a princess such as yourself stalking these woods for, 'specially now," she hissed, glancing up to the full moon, indicating that various beasts lurked. Her expression was tight, nothing welcoming, her grant for the much loathed loyal pair.

Arleina hadn't sensed the new elf coming, her mind too jumbled with corupted emotions to see or sense the other coming their way.
When she heard a voice, the princesses head snapped torwards the sound. She saw that another elf as herself but surely of a different clan come torwards Gwen and herself. Her face darkened as she siad 'princess'
"I do not go by that title anymore, I'm not a princess for anyone. And I am on my own journey, not for anyone else to know about me. Who knows, you could be a spy of some sort." This elf was of a more evil nature and she put her hand on her sword, ready for any impending attack from the other.

Her eyebrows lifted at the loyal's lyrics, a laugh tickling her throught, her symetrical teeth gauging out, head tossed back. Her hand slapped her thigh, taking an abrupt halt to the laughter as a pair of hazel eyes glared at the princess.
"Pity," she snarled, lips pressing. Her sight wandered to the stray hand reaching for the sward. Tari glided her own hand to her bo, fumbling for her arrow, and locking the hold of the two.

The red haired Elf kept teh other dark elf's gaze as she moved about herself looking for something. She pulled out an arrow and Arleina realized that she wasn't here for fun and games.
The moon above them was shining ever more now, brighter it seemed, It lit the whole area of the forest she was residing on right now.
She quickly jerked her sword out fully, It's long irion heavy blade sliced through the air as it rested level with Arleina's chest, she was ready for the other to shoot at her.
What would Gwen do next if the other woman attacked? Theives never stook around for long, so this would have been an excuse of all excuses to leave.
"What do you wish of me Elf sister, I have had enough delays. I am on a journey to the city and these hold-ups are getting extremely old. Now tell me what is it that you want?"

A pause cringed, her pores rising at the excitement, the pure risk, a 'live' feeling easing her senses. Lips topped upward, curling into a menacing grin as her lock on the bo and arrow tightened. She'd practiced the shootings since she was a tyke, her father bending and molding her into what he wanted her.. a fighter. But she'd not released such power since the war so long ago, perhaps several hundred years.
"Further delays," she scowled, her vocalising low and mumbling, as if she was telling herself and not her victom. Her hand locked to the bo and arrow, pulling the couple out of her pack in a swift and smooth gliding action, pulling the bo back, though seizing to shoot, just aiming directly at her throught, the tip of the point jolting to sink into the opposing's flesh. She'd wait on the other's first action, and it'd gain to a battle, perhaps a confined war, though Tari found it a pleasure.
